Cold-pack shipping, explained

Cold-pack shipping, explained

A bar that melts in a delivery van and re-solidifies in your mailbox is technically still chocolate, but the temper is gone, the snap is gone, and a gray bloom moves in like bad weather. We take this personally.

So every order ships in an insulated liner with a frozen gel pack, inside the crush-proof carton, on a Monday-to-Wednesday schedule so nothing sits in a warehouse over a weekend. In summer we upgrade the gel packs and shorten the routes. Your bars arrive solid, glossy, and slightly smug about it.

If a shipment ever arrives melted anyway, photograph it and email us. We replace it, no committee meeting required — see the returns page for the fine print, of which there is very little.
